Pythons 'relax' in Swimming Pool in Malaysia

A woman who dive in the pool saw a huge snake 'resting' at the bottom of the metal stairs on Tuesday, according to the Malaysian national news agency, Bernama.

A total of eight people, including children, were swimming in the pool at the club in the small town of Seremban, about 60 kilometers from the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, when the sirens sounded, he said.

Management of the club contacted fire department, which issued the python. No one was injured.

Quoting a spokesman for the fire department, Bernama reported that the python might have sneaked into the pool from the bushes nearby to cool themselves, because the air is very hot.

Python commonly found in tropical Malaysia, but attacks on humans are rare. Not yet clear what type of python in the pool, but the python flowers can grow up to achieve more than eight feet long. Fire Department can not be reached for comment. A club official confirmed that the snake had moved safely.
