The super-computer, IBM BladeCenter Cluster, was installed in ETH Zurich. It consists of 3 IBM BladeCenter Hs that have overall 33 IBM BladeCenter QS22servers and 9 IBM BladeCenter HS22 servers.
IBM BladeCenter Cluster is cooled by a new system which was named asAquasar. The most amazing about Aquasar is that it works on hot water, which temperature is around 60C. This way creators solve two problems at once.Aquasar is much more effective than any air cooler and it saves up to 40% of the energy. Moreover, after taking care about IBM BladeCenter Cluster the hot water is transmitted into the heating system of the building. As a result, 85% of the heating-energy is saved, as well.
